Non-waiver trade deadline: 6 days, 7 hours, 56 minutes

Glaus could be traded

Jeff Blair over at GlobeSports.com has hinted that Troy Glaus could be on his way out of Toronto. The Jays have been on a miserable skid of late, and if things don't turn around soon, we might see J.P. attempt to reload by moving Glaus for some pitching.

When Glaus is healthy, he makes a big offensive impact. While the Jays desperately need pitching, I'd sure hate to lose that big bat.

Who needs a big bat? The LA Dodgers. However, I know many Dodger fans do not want to see another veteran acquired who will block their up and coming talent, such as Andy LaRoche (who looks a lot like Glaus, if you ask me.) J.P. would love to swing a deal for some Dodgers rookies though–could he offer up Rios again (despite my recent protests?)

Maybe the more appropriate question is: Who needs a third baseman? MLB Trade Rumors suggests the Angels, Phillies, Indians, Reds, or Padres might be interested. The Indians are dangling reliever Jason Davis, which might capture some of J.P.'s interest.
