Soriano continues to be stubborn

Everyone's been wondering what would happen when Soriano returned to Spring Training camp: would he agree to play in the outfield for the Nationals? We got our answer tonight, loud and clear: NO!

When the Nationals took the field this evening in a game against the Dodgers, left field remained empty. Frank Robinson finally came out of the dugout and made a swap, putting Church in left and Watson in center.

Jim Bowden believes Soriano is in violation of his contract by refusing to play and if Soriano does not agree to the position shift this week, the team will move to place him on the disqualified list–not a list we hear about too often.

  1. Wow!!! I guess they will try him again tomorrow but if he refuses to play in the field he goes on the disqualified list and gets $0.00 until they take him off the list. If he plays LF I wonder how many "errors" he will make!
