New Nats owners planning to trade Guillen

I almost missed it, a very short sentence in Bill Ladson's report about Jose Guillen's hamstring pull: "Guillen, who is on the trade block, has been hampered by injuries all year." With the Yankees loss of Matsui, would Guillen be a good fit in New York?

When I have questions like this, I head over to MLBTradeRumors.com. According to a recent post there, the Nats may give up more than just Guillen: apparently Livan Hernandez, Alfonso Soriano, Nick Johnson, and Brian Schneider are also being dangled as trade bait, presumably for pitching and young players. Of that crew, I think it's Johnson and Schneider that I would miss the most. Indeed, trading Johnson would be questionable without some serious remuneration.
