Jays like Lugo
Not only are the Jays considering an upgrade at second base, but they're also considering trading for a new shortstop. The St. Petersburg Times is reporting that the Jays are interested in acquiring Julio Lugo, making room for B.J. Upton to come up to the big leagues.
If the Jays are going to challenge for the division title, then they need to get defense and some production out of their middle infielders. If Hill/Adams/McDonald can't get the job done, then bring on a Lugo/Counsell duo!
