Postseason eligibility lists set: 2 days, 21 hours, 52 minutes

Another grim outlook for the Nationals

It hasn't been a good weekend for the Washington Nationals. First, Nook Logan and John Patterson went down: Logan a strained groin, while Patterson "kind of passed out". Then today, Washington released 1B Travis Lee despite his .267 spring batting average and .997 career fielding average. Lee had informed GM Jim Bowden that he "didn't want to play anymore". As a final insult, FOX Sports' Dayn Perry listed the Nationals first in his "Teams with no hope for success" piece. My poor Nats! It sounds like the team will enter 2007 facing the same low expectations of recent years past.
