It's do or die time for the Jays

The series to watch this weekend is the Jays/Twins match-up. In my opinion, how the Jays perform will determine their ultimate fate for the season. Do they really have the stuff to take the Wild Card or even the East? Or, were all those lofty predictions about a championship season simply off the mark?

The Jays line-up is more powerful than any other in the league. Halladay, A.J., B.J.–frightening stuff. But a team that looks good on paper isn't guaranteed to perform. They still need that spark. I'm not certain that John Gibbons is the man to light that fire, but I'm still hoping the Jays will demonstrate the determination and concentration of a winning team this weekend in Minneapolis.
