Robinson out. Girardi in?

It seems that my Bring Girardi to Washington! campaign has been heard up in the offices of the Nationals! MLB.com speculated earlier today that manager Frank Robinson will not be invited back to coach the Nationals next season. This news doesn't surprise me in the least. What did catch my eye was that the article mentions … Read more »

Performancing stats for auction on MLB.com?

Performancing.com provides bloggers with tools to track blog statistics. I was surprised to see Performancing stats up for auction on MLB.com this evening! It's obviously a mistake, but it's too bad that the erroneous image didn't have the Performancing logo or URL on it. … Read more »

Canuck MLB players

CBC.ca has posted a nice round-up of active Canadian MLB players. In total, 22 Canucks hit the field this season. The article also includes a 2007 projection for each player. My canuck picks for next season shouldn't surpise anyone: Jason Bay, Erik Bedard, Jeff Francis, Rich Harden, Russell Martin and Justin Morneau will all backup Kevin … Read more »

Nick Johnson injured in collision with Kearns

Nick Johnson stayed pretty healthy this season, but today was not his day. Johnson and Austin Kearns just had a terrible collision at Shea Stadium. Nick is in so much pain that he's biting a towel. It looks like he injured his right knee. Kearns was walking around, but looked very shaken and has just left the game. Frank Robinson … Read more »

We're going to the 9th in San Diego and Chris Young is throwing a no-hitter! Padres are leading the Pirates, 6-0. Stay tuned!UPDATE: Young threw a fastball on a 3-1 count to Joe Randa, and Randa hit it out of the park, 2-run homer ruins the no-hitter. Cla Meredith is warming up in the bullpen.   … Read more »

Russ Adams' starting days numbered

My predictions earlier this season regarding Russ Adams' and Aaron Hill's potential didn't totally pan out. While Hill had a pretty decent second half, J.P. Ricciardi has publicly asserted that Adams will probably be fighting for a starting position with the 2007 Jays.Who might J.P. be targeting to man shortstop in 2007? Lugo for sure. As … Read more »

A-Rod: The "A" stands for Angels

Alex Rodriguez needs a change of scenery. It will be interesting to see what transpires in October, but regardless, New York has become an uncomfortable home for A-Rod.MLB Trade Rumors has a great post about what the 2007 Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim might look like, but I was surprised that A-Rod's name didn't come up. … Read more »

If he pitches in 2007…

The "where will Roger Clemens pitch?" speculations are in full swing, so I think I'll throw my cap in! Clemens won't be coming back to the Astros, that's for sure. He wants to be with a contender. With that in mind, I think that if he doesn't retire, he'll be wearing Yankee pinstripes. Texas … Read more »
